Work Orders are business closed earlier than what it says in Residence Time (Program RKKBABS0 or T-Code CO99)

We have a batch job to run program RKKBABS0 (a program to business close work orders; which is equal to Tcode CO99) nightly with a Variant. The Variant has the Residence Time for 180 days.

However for some reason, several work orders which were technical completed just a couple of days ago were business closed by this batch job.

I checked the batch job results and the variant. They are all fine.

So could anyone help us out why this thing could happen? I am clueless.

Thank you for your assistance in advance.

Adi

What is frequency to run background job?

Check the last run and frequency , does it full fill only 180 day's of resident time?

It runs daily at 1:40 am.

I checked the last job. It included some work orders that were just TECO'd 2-3 days ago.

As I checked, it seems the reference date was picked from the CREATED ON date, instead of from the TECO'd date.

Do you have any idea why it didn't pick the TECO'd date?

Thank you.

Yogesh,

In Note 914733, it says the following:

If you use the RKKBABS0 report to carry out the business completion, the error occurs if the plant entered in the selection screen is not a planning plant, or if the plant does not exist at all.

Does the words "if the plant does not exist at all" mean that the error will occur if in the Variant (selection) screen, we don't put any Plant in the Plant field ?

Our business has 5 Plants; therefore in the Plant field, we leave it blank.

Thank you.

For the "reference date" issue, check your settings in the IMG under "Define Proposed Reference Time for Technical Completion". Also, it could be possible that a user is changing the Reference data when they are Technical Completing the workorders.

Currently the value is 1 for all PM Order Types. But don't know what value '1' means, since unable to dropdown the field.

Select F4 to see what values you can enter,

Blank is Todays date

1 is Date Entered

2 is Basic Start

3 is Basic Finish.

By changing to 0, now it defaults to today's date. And now it works as we want.

So as summary, program RKKBABS0 works based on the Reference Date, not the current system date when the work order is TECO'd.

Thank you very much Tavis.

What was the value of the "reference date" when the workorders in questions were Teco'ed? I believe that if a reference date greater than 180 days in the past was entered then they would be included in the batch run and closed.
