Fixed sample quantity per container

Dear All,

Can we maintain fixed sample quantity per container for the inspection lot. Scenerion is after receiving the material, concern QC person is withdrawing fixed amount of samples (e g 5 GM) from each of the container. At the end total of the withdrawn samples are not matching with the sample quantity which we maintain in the inspection plan. So physical sample drawing procedure & no of primary samples are not useful.

Is there any work around that sample quantity is getting calculating based upon the no of containers.

Regards

Amit

    hi..

If we consider one container as one batch then also it is not possible to have sample size calulations acording to your requirement.

Best practice would be create sampling procedure and increse the sample size. or create sampling procedure with sampling scheme.

    regards,

    Aditya

Unless Sampling drawing procedure used, its difficult to control the sample size based on container.

      HI,

Sample drawing procedure is used, so that physical samples are created equal to no of containers as in inspection lot. But the sample quantity is calculated by the quantity which entered in the inspection plan, which is fixed. But in my actual scenerion sample quantity is variable depends upon no of containers, which i cant fixed in the plan.
