Dear expert,
I am new in SAP world. I want to learn in MM module
I have problem when creating PO (ME21N). when I input nett price in decimal for example 2.2 EUR, there was an error 'Input must be in the format __.___.___.__~'. But when i changed the nett price value with 2 EUR, it seems okay.
I have already read some tips via google, and they said about using Tcode CUNI, but i still do not understand.
I hope someone can guide me what step by step should i run.
thx in advance before
Hi,
Go to System-> user profile -> own data under default tab change decimal notation.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
System>>User profile>>User Data
Or
SU3 -> Defaults -> Decimal Notation
Change the Decimal notation to: X 1,234,567.89 and save.
Make sure you sign out and log in to SAP to make the change effective.
Thank you,
Samaun

Please use SE16 and check table V_CURX
Do you see there an entry for EUR?
do you get the same problem for any other currency?

Dear all experts,
i have tried to change decimal notation. here is results i got:
if i use X 1,234,567.89
in PO i enter nett price 2,2 -> Input must be in the format __.___.___.__~
in PO i enter nett price 2.2 -> Decimal places are not permitted
if i use 1.234.567,89
in PO i enter nett price 2,2 -> Decimal places are not permitted
in PO i enter nett price 2.2 -> Input must be in the format __.___.___.__~
if i use Y 1 234 567,89
in PO i enter nett price 2,2 -> Decimal places are not permitted
in PO i enter nett price 2.2 -> Enter a numeric value
what should i do? still confuse with this problem

your personal settings will not effect this error,
the message tells you what is expected
a) it shows you a template how it input shuold be: __.___.___.__~
look at the dots, there are only dots, which means it does not expect decimal entries
b) Decimal places are not permitted
this confirms it as well, you must not enter decimals
The weird thing is that you say it is with EUR currency, as EUR has 2 decimals, I would expect such messages for Korean and Japan currency as they do not have decimals.
So I assume it has something to do with your decimal settings at the currency.
please check your settings made in SPRO > IMG > SAP Netviewer > General Setting > Set Countries > Define Countries in my SAPsystem
Hi Jurgen, happy new year . . .
Unfortunately i don't understand with your explanation "The weird thing is that you say it is with EUR currency, as EUR has 2 decimals, I would expect such messages for Korean and Japan currency as they do not have decimals." because i live in southeast asia and do not know about EUR, Korean, and japan currency.
by the way, i have tried checking SPRO > IMG > SAP Netviewer > General Setting > Set Countries > Define Countries in my SAPsystem, but i still can't solve. I can give you printscreen settings i had if you need. More detail step explanation please if you don't mind, because i am really new in SAP world.
Thx in advance
