COBL Custom field not updating COEP in CO Substitution

Dear Experts,

I created a couple of Z fields in structure CI_COBL using transaction OXK3. I did not add these fields yet to BSEG- but because of adding the fields to the Coding block, these fields now appear in COEP table.

I wish to populate these Z fields with a constant when posting happens in FI thru FB01 or F-02 or FB50.

For this i added these Z fields into Table GB01 with class = 1,Type =S with Table name as COBL. This allows the Z fields to be substituted in CO Substitution in OKC9.

The problem is that the CO Substitution step gets called and Populates the COBL structure,but does not update COEP.

Thus the main problem is that COEP is not getting populated with the value provided in Substitution.

Note 1772768 indirectly states that COEP should be updatable if COBL is populated in the CO substitution.

We are working on 4.7 Version.

Has anyone faced this before? ANy guidance on this will be highly appreciated

COuld you please tell me your issue got resolve? if yes, what is the solution.. I am facing similar issue not able to update the custom fields of COEP table by substitution??
