Hi Experts,

  • There's one HP Laser jet Professional 1108 Printer attached to a system on Local Network with all the drivers installed.
  • I want to install / use this printer from SAP Server.
  • we also selected it as default printer at OS level.

Some of the details of the same are as follows:

  • Make of Printer: HP Laserjet Professional 1108
  • USB Port: USB001
  • OS: windows 7

I have tried with all options with AM: G, F and installed SAPSprint in Windows 7 System...

But I don't know it is correct method or not ?

Can anybody please help me to install the same with a step by step procedure

Thanks in Advance

  • In my case it worked like this:

    SAP Version: 750

    Printer: HP LaserJet 1020

    Port: USB001

Transaction Code tested: FBZ5 (Print Form for Payment Document)

Transaction Code to configure printer: SPAD

    Device Attributes Tab:

_ Device TAP: SAPWIN : MS Windows driver

    _ Device Class: Standard printer

_ Authorization Group: leave this field empty

    _ Model: HP LaserJet 1020

_ Location: Any Description to identify where the printer is located

_ Message: leave this like empty field too

    Acces Method Tab:

_ Host Spool Acces Method: G: Front End Printing with Control Tech.

_ Host Printer: Computer Name like in Windows System

Do not change any information on "Output Attributes" and "Tray Info" unless you realy need.

    Hi Praneeth,

Create a printer in transaction SPAD with the below

Host Spool Access Method - G

    Host printer - _DEFAULT

and then try to print using this one. It should select the default windows printer.
