"on behalf of" function

Good day,

I have read about the “substitution functions” for Manager Self Service and that the manager can delegate selected functions to certain
users. The “On Behalf of function” is one of them. Must this be configured on the portal and must this user be in a chief postion on the organisational structure?

many thanks

Jacklyn

    Hi Jacklyn,

On behalf of is for manager to use the services of his reportee, say personal profile service, time management service his/her reportee.

substitution (delegation) is the one we can delegate anyone to approve requests.

    You can refer to thread,

    Hello,

In MSS the substitution functionality was earlier available only to workitems. This was accomplished by creating substitution rules in UWL or POWL inbox. These rules were user to user substitution. But with HR Renewal 1.0 release of MSS the substitution functionality is extended to MSS applications.User to user substitution rules can be created from homepage itself. The substitute would be able to get not only workitems on behalf but can also execute MSS applications on behalf. Ex - a substitute can see the team of original manager on behalf.

    Hope it helps.

    Thanks and Regards

    Sagar
