BO4 Patches and repair - general question

Hi,

Consider using repair option via Conntrol Panel as mentioned below rather than deinstall patch and re-insatll.

Generally with patxch insatll errrors do you need to use repair option on the base install or just the patch. What does it do as have never used it. Thanks
