Hello Michael,

I am trying to start/stop certain SAP and SQL related clusters using a powershell script. Can this script be used within LVM to perform these actions?

Thanks

Shweta

Hello Shweta,

yes , this is possible. You can basically add any kind of script with LVM. The functions are called "Custom Operation" if you want to create a standalone function or "Custom hook" if you want to integrate your script wth an existing LVM procedure e.g. start/stop.

Take a look here on some of the details: https://archive.sap.com/documents/docs/DOC-48942

The scripting language does not matter, as long as the HostAgent can call the script and the OS supports the scripting language, so make

sure to use constraints to limit to the right OS/DB combo.
