Hi,
in the SAP online documentation the following is mentioned for capable to pomise:
An availability check, which should not be
compared with the ATP check, is carried out at component level using the pegging
functions. In the pegging structure all receipt and requirement categories are handled in the same way. No
distinction is therefore made according to ATP categories. Scopes of check,
shortage checks, use of a checking horizon and the rules-based ATP check are not supported.
Does this mean that a check against product allocation can be triggered?
Thanks, Tanja
Of course it does, but you can not perform a product allocation check for several components during a multi-level CTP check. You can check only one component for a BOM level. Also, you cannot check several components belonging to different BOM levels in a multi-level CTP check.
Please check note 1086885.

Hi Tanja,
CTP can work with product allocation and this can be used where you need to allocation as much quantity as your capacity.
Hope this helps.

Tanja,
CTP can work with Product Allocation, against any characteristic(s) that are contained in the sales order.
Here is a course that I took several years ago:

It was very helpful in teaching me about such topics.
