Moving Assets from One Company Code to Another Company Code- Mid year

Hello Every one

Due to a local currency changeover for one our company codes, we had a requirement to move all existing data from old company code to new company code. The FY ends March 31, 2013. The New company code goes live from Jan 1st, 2013. Since we are transitioning the assets from one CC to another mid year, what are my options to bring forward Assets into the new company code ?

We were thinking to transfer Assets from one company code to another. If you have any suggestions , please advise
