Hello!
I am upgrading sap erp from ehp 4 to ehp 5 by SUM.
Computer was reseted with running client SUM on PHAsE preprocessing (import addons to shadow system).
On the central instance i see R3trans processes that work.
But I can not connect to server SUM.(I was asked login and password and client show the status loading... )
What should i do? Should i wait while this roadmap step will finish and i will able continue installation?
With best regards
DS
Hi,
Please Exit from SUM upgrade GUI and then kill SL controller process. Please make sure that no SL controller or sdt process is running.
Then start SL controller again and launch SUM gui. L

Hi,
I had exactly the same problem few days ago, don't worry!
After the reboot first of all I checked at OS level the running processes and I found them properly running. I killed only the SUM process and I started SUM again with the command "./STARTUP ......."
I opened a browser and and I logged into SUM again, maybe you have to try twice, but after a while you will be able to obtain the control of the update procedure

Fabrizio

Hi DS,
You can cancell your SUM server process and restart it. Upgrade process will start from wherever you stop. Please makre sure that you stop / kill any running R3trans or R3load process too.
Your problem may due to resource contention. Check the status of your hardware resources.
Good luck.
