Dear Guru's,

I've made most of the settings in SAP in order to send automatic P.O. to external e-mail but now the system gives this error and doesn't send my P.O. via e-mail.

As far as I understand it's about SMTP server doesn't trust SAP server. In anyway SMTP server needs to know my SAP server but I couldn't find out how. Is there any place that I can enter username & password in SAP. Or the settings should be done in SMTP server about rely?

Please kindly advice how to proceed.

Dear Colleagues,

I would like to inform you that the problem is solved. It was about SMTP service. Our network team installed SMTP service, relay our SAP server IP address and now I can able to send e-mail.

Hi,

I guess, the best solution would be to contact your Basis team.

However, please check the following.

Whether you are able to successfully save the PO document.

If yes, please check whether you are able see the PO document no with vendor email details in SOST transaction after saving. If this is not happening then its a pure technical issue.

Also please check the following settings

Whether you have maintained correct email address in the vendor master record.

Whether you have maintained the output medium as 5 - Externtal Send for your output type

Also verify whether a valid output condition record exists.

Yes I can succesfully save my P.O.,

I can see the e-mail in SOST but in the situation text : No delivery to xxxx@xxxx.com, as no route known,,

Vendor e-mail address is also correct,

Medium 5 is OK

Hi,

Since you are able to view the message in SOST, your output condition record is triggering correctly.

i.e. for example the condition record maintained for the output type NEU with medium as 5 - External send.

Now that the email is visible in SOST. Check with the Basis team whether SCOT settings are in place esp. the node in use indicator is set or not.

Really sorry, I can't help you further since I dont have much idea on this error.

It seems like a technical issue so I suggest you to post the message in the technical forums in SCN and also google it with the error you are getting ( hope you might have done this already 🙂 )
