Plant maintenance: Changing unit of measure on service order component view

Hello experts,

I am new to Plant Maintenance. I am being asked to change the unit of measure on the component view of the service order. At the moment the default is 'ST' and the user has to manually insert EA when the item category is 'T'. The user wants the default to be EA and not ST when the item category is T..

Please advise where in configeration I can do the change. As I am new to PM sorry for the basic question.

regards

David Dittmer

Are you maintaining any Material Master for that Text Item??

And Please clarify, will use same component with different Item category??

    1. For that component, if you use Item category as T only, then in Material Master of that item mention the UoM as per your requirement.

    2. Else try with IWO10011 Maint. order: Customer enhancement for component selection

If you are not maintaining Material Master for that text item, you can enter the text directly in PM Order components tab as free text with your required Unit of measure & Item category as T.

As I mentioned already, check with that user exit to make it automatic.

The UoM is determined from the material master.

Why do you want to do this??
