UNABLE TO LOAD URL ( BIWS link in dashboard )

Hi experts 

I have published a block in webi document using BIWS  .but when i copy the generated wsdl link in dashboard i am getting error " UNABLE to load URL " . .Any suggestions ?  The  link look exactly like this

http://myserver:8080/dswsbobje/qaawsservices/biws?WSDL=1&cuid=AT7QCrADamRAtWQ3VAo1IvI

Do i need to add  any parameters ... i even tried adding authType parameter .. and the link is working fine in browser .

I have opened to  new instance of dashboard and pasted the link in wsdl URL : ....

THank you guys for replying … It seems there is a problem in my office laptop .. I couldn't figure out ..but the web service is working in my personal laptop

have you updated the host file under C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc in your laptop?

Hi Pramod,

Make sure you have correct CMC Name and Port Number in 'dsws.properties' file.

Steps:

1. On the machine where Tomcat is installed navigate to following path:

       C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\Tomcat6\webapps\dswsbobje\WEB-INF\classes 

2. Take back up of 'dsws.properties' file
3. Edit dsws.properties and search 'domain' parameter
4. Specify correct CMS Name and Port Number infront of 'domain'

       domain=CMSName:CMSPortNumber 

6. Save dsws.properties
7. Restart Tomcat
8. Check if you can import BIWS in Xcelsius by adding QaaWS connection

Also, make sure BIWS url validates on a machine where you have Xcelsius installed.

Thank you for replying ... My Webservice is working great in URL ..

I am guessing its wrong with my machine ..Tried in my colleague computer and its working . I will have to find out whats wrong with my firewall settings ...

Hi Pramod,

Try creating new BIWS and import it in the dashboard.

Also see if any of your antivirus or firewall is blocking such request.

Also refer SAP KBAs

1339571 - Xcelsius throws error 'Unable to Load URL'.

1476534 - Error "unable to load URL" happened when adding QaaWS to Data Manager in Xcelsius 2008 SP3.

I already tried  those things ..

Guess something wrong with the networking or fire wall in my machine
