Web Application Designer - hangs

I am trying to run the Web Application Designer from my desktop (i.e. Start->Programs->Business Explorer->Web Application Designer).

When I do this the application never starts. I look at the Windows Task Manager and initially is says the application is running but it soon changes to "Not Responding" and never comes back.

Others in my group have no problem running the application so I can only assume it has something to do with my PC.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I came across a similar situation may not be exactly same. Lets give it a shot it may help.

Goto:

C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc

Then open the file hosts using Notepad.

Then try adding the BW server IP below the local host

example:

100.0.0.1 localhost

Your BW IP bwsys(This is the host name of the BW System)

You can find this when you go to

BW Login->RSA1->System->Status->Host(This is the name)

Hope this solves your problem.
