how to use PFAL for the first time

Hi,

We have carved out HR system from IS-Retail and upgraded HR system to ECC from 4.7. Now we have to maintain HR minimaster in retail system and we have implemented standard ALE to achieve the same. We found a problem here is that we cannot use ALE straight way as current HR objects are local and we need to make them as distributed by executing PFAL in ECC. First of all, we need to use insert mode, to convert all the HR objects in tartget system as distributed with all infotypes and then use update mode for delta changes later. Now my question is if we run in insert mode first time, we have to take all infotypes otherwise it will take only filtered infotypes and delete rest of the infotypes in target system. But if you consider all the infotypes in first step, I feel it would created a hell lot of idocs in target system and kills that server. Can anybody suggests how to go ahead in this case?? Am I right in my approach of doing this scenario?? I need an urgent help. Thanks a lot in advance.
