Dear All,

My client is going live on 01.12.2012. the fiscal year it follows is April to march. Kindly let me know ASAP, how will I upload the balances and open transactions of Vendor and Customers and GL balances to SAP. I have searched on SDN, but could not clear my doubt. kindly inform the step by step process.

Waiting for urgent response.

your go live is in 2 days and you got nothing for data migration? So your go live have a great change for no-go.

You have to provide all Account balances and subledgers balances. Choose your migration tool (LSMW, ABAP report ... etc.). The most important is your data preparation.

This seems like important part was missed, the balances .

You cannot make everything work in 2 days rather 48 hours, starting from extraction, mapping, balancing, GL Account, configuration, data maintenance, LSWM scripts etc.

As Marssel said, very good sign of "NO-GO". and have the project manager to handle the situation.

As I said once to one of my client, This is SAP System not Harry Potter.

Best Luck,

Dear Nishan and Marshal

Where i have written that data has not been collected? Kindly read the forum thoroughly, and don,t undermine someone.

we have done all these and went live on !st as indicated. So dont share your past experiences of NO-GO and Harry Porter with anyone.

I had asked a way how to upload, not your rough suggestion.

I close this thread as there are many other SDNs who has given me very good answers of uploading, not as yours' FALTU answers.

Best Luck to you too for Future projects for NO GO.

Hi

There is no direct option of transfer data from Tally to SAP for opening balances. For this type of data migration you need to contact ABAPer to design special program to transfer data. Or you can use data migration tools in SAP i.e LSMW, BDC etc.. You have to prepare data templates based on your recording fields and upload. Take all balances of trail balance as on 30.11.2012 and upload. Use seperate templates for GL uploadings, Vendor open items, Customer open items, Asset balances etc...
