Hi gurus,

Could anyone tell me, which movement types are relevant for PIR reduction? And how to recognize these movement types?

I think it is a function of the planning strategy and the requirement class within that strategy.

when you have strategy 40 which has requirement class 101, sale order consumes PIR, when it is strategy 10 PIR is reduced by GI to delivery. For strategy 11 PIR is reduced while GR to order

Hi,

If understand your question, then your PIR represent as purchase info record and purchase info record considered as master data universally.

In SAP every movement of goods is followed by one movement type and unless you do any transaction or goods movement, movement type never triggers. Why and how you are linking purchase info record with movement type and can please give some more business background for your requirement?

Hi,

You can use any sales related movement types like 601 to reduce the PIR.

Of course, but I need much solid approach. Like some regularity. Is it XPBED in T156? If it is what means when 122 or 161 have, but PIR is not reduced?

hi Anna,

Indeed this field does offer reduction to the PIR however standard SAP or at least my release does not come preconfigured with this set on for movements like 261 or 601. Does anyone have a list of the defaults settings from SAP or is this field completely customer interpreted?

You may check SAP note 772857 for independent requirment reduction

Todd,

If you want to know the 'As Delivered' settings, just log onto your local Client 000.  Original SAP configuration settings will exist there.  In my Client 000,  T156-XPBED is 'set' for 261, and 'unset' for 601.
