Hello Srini,

I will advise you try the following :

1st : Check in SM12 if your data target has an exclusive lock (if this is the case then remove that lock and try deleting again)

2nd : Ensure that the data target is not locked by any DTP etc.

3rd : you can also take a look in sm51 and try checking if any process is assigned to the data target you mentioned (sometimes with the description in the 'table ' column gives you a hint)

4th : Your last option if nothing works is to delete the request from the following control tables : RSICCONT, RSMONICDP, RSODSACTUPDTYPE and RSODSACTREQ. This your basis team would easily perform.

Do not attempt to carry out point 4!! It is not supported and can destroy your BW!

RSPMREQUEST is the table which stores the ADSO requests.

Dear Srini

Tables like RSICCONT, RSPMREQUEST, RSREQDONE, RSMONICDP etc. should NEVER be touched, edited or deleted manually. This is not supported and this can easily leading to a destruction of your own system!!!!!

The reported situation above is described in the notes:
2294504RSPM 102 because of aborted new DMART extraction from ADSO

2225908Error Message 'Data target ... is locked by process ... (internal ...)' after DTP Load

Deleting manually from any kind of request administration tables is NOT supported and SAP does not take any responsibility if it causes further problems, dumps, data inconsistency.

Roland

Hello,

my answer is far too late, but it may help others with the same problem.
In my case the ADSO was in planning mode, so I just had to switch the ADSO to data load mode, then I could delete and load data.

Regards,
Katharina
