Hi All,

We are done with configuring the BSP applications throught PCUI. Now we need to change the look and feel of the iViews which we put on the Enterprise Portal. I tried to change all the possible values in the relavant Portal theme. But nothing changed the CRM BSP iViews. So could any one please guide me in this issue.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Sasi

What SP level of EP are you on?

Have you had a look in the SAP Support Portal - search for notes on unified rendering?

There were some notes about minor problems in early SP's for EP6.

Cheers

Hi Dom,

We are using EP6 SP9. In the theme editor we have a section for Old BSPs but i didnt find any section for BSPs or New BSPs. I even tried changing the colors in Old BSPs theme, but it didnt work. I didnt find any OSS notes related to this issue either. Any help appreciated.

Thanks in advance...

Hi Tiest

I tried to look into all the css files. But no luck. Do you have any idea of where this file (/sap/public/bsp/sap/public/bc/xhtmlb/tbv_ie5.css) could be???

I right clicked on the portal page and selected "View Source". In the source file i looked for all the .css files but no luck :(.

The only file i couldnt find in my server is /sap/public/bsp/sap/public/bc/xhtmlb/tbv_ie5.css. And i beleive this is the CSS file which is used to render the BSPs. So any idea of where this file could be?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

Hi

You can find this file in SE80.

Click on Mime repository, then follow the folders:

SAP -> PUBLIC -> BC -> XHTMLB

I'm not sure if that will help though.

Hi Dom,

Thanks for the info, i tried changing the images at that location in SAP MIME Repo, but no luck. Looks like the images in BPSs are from a different location. I am still looking into it.

Tiest, any luck from u???

By the way, how can we find the BSP for a particular iView and how do we get to that particular BSP??? I guess if we can reach that BSP, then we can find out the exact CSS file and then we can make relavant changes. So now the question would be, how do we get to the BSP pages...

Thanks in advance.

Hi All,

I came to know that its not advisable to change the themes in CRM for BSP apps in PCUI as it incurs more cost in the future releases. So what are the other possible ways to change to the BSP app theme??? I thought we should be able to change the theme from portal itself. But i couldnt :(.

Please suggest me in this...

Thanks is advance

<i>Thanks for the info, i tried changing the images at that location in SAP MIME Repo, but no luck. Looks like the images in BPSs are from a different location. I am still looking into it.</i>

if you make any changes to the mimes , you need to invalidate the server cache for it to take effect. this can be done from transaction SICF. SICF->go to->ICM monitor->goto->http server cache->invalidate

<i>By the way, how can we find the BSP for a particular iView and</i>

in the portal content administration tab navigate to the particulare iview and go into edit mode, you will see the BSP application name and start page.

<i>how do we get to that particular BSP??? </i>

transaction SE80

<i>I guess if we can reach that BSP, then we can find out the exact CSS file and then we can make relavant changes. So now the question would be, how do we get to the BSP pages...</i>

if your intention is to make the BSP to inherit the portal theme, then you dont have to do anything. this will automatically happen if you check the <b>supports portal integration</b> check box in the property tab of the BSP application. this check box also will generate some javascripts for domain relaxation.

Hi All,

Thank you very much. The problem is solved. I changed the images in SAP MIME Repo for the BSP app and invalidated the cache. Now everything works as expected. I can see the new images in the iViews on the portal.

Thanks again,

Hi All,

Sorry for the confusion, you can change the BSP iViews look and feel right from the portal theme itself. In EP6 sp2, it refers to BSP table, BSP tsp and so on. However in EP6 SP9, it refers to Old BSP table, old BSP tsp and so on. And make sure you go to internet options of your browser and clean your cache. So the bottom line is you need not change the theme of a BSP appln in CRM, you can do it from the portal itself.

Thanks to you all for your support.
