Characteristic Value 9 doesnt exist for chracteristics WERKS

Dear Team, When i release accounting document from VF02. I am getting the following error.

"Characteristic Value 9 doesnt exist for chracteristics WERKS"

Please advice how to solve the issue.

Hi,

Check KES1 tcode for the values you have maintained for characteristic values. Then go and check in KEDR for the derivation rules maintained. It is possible that you have given a wrong value in derivation rule.

   Kindly check in Characteristics Derivation strategy in COPA in KEDR Transaction Code where you maintain Derivation Rule for Plant. Kindly check in Maintain Rule Values that whether you have maintained "9" or not

Hi,

   Kindly check whether you have maintained your Characteristic Value 9 against Plant, if not kindly maintained in User Defined Characteristics

   You can define it in the following menu path:

Controlling - Profitability Analysis - Master Data - Characteristic Values- Maintain Characteristics Values
