SFC number without the shop order

Hi all,

I use the DM520 to create the SFC number without the shop order, as in the resource setup activity we just configured the material level against the resource, the SFC looks good except when we go to the assembly and log NC stations, the assembly returns the "Ref is missing (Message 12001)". In the log NC station, when I tried to log the NC code with location ID into this SFC, then it returns like "Location ID is not existed.......".

If the SFC with shop order, then all those activities are working properly. Does this mean this is default functionality that the SFC has to be mapped with shop order when doing those activities? or this is an issue behind of the logic, I am testing this in the ME 6.0.
