Hi Community,
I have a configurable material in VA01, so far so good. But when I hit "Enter" to see the results there comes up an error which says: "Configuration not possible for material". I think the reason is:
But I have already specified the plant when I created the material with "MM01" and the simulation wether with "PMEVC" or "CU50" is working out perfectly.
Does anyone has any ideas how to solve that issue?
Thanks and best regards
Hi ,
Please check whether the BoM is active. Goto CS02 and goto Header and check the Status. It should be "1". Also check the Item Category Group of your Header Material and Component Material and make sure item category determination is maintained accordingly.

I think we are close to the answer. I haven´t created a BOM with CS01 yet, so I tried. I thought that it is possible to insert the characteristics in CS01, which I have created for the configurable material. But it seems I have to create a whole new material for the BOM, am I right? If yes, how do I link the materials (I use for CS01) with the characteristcs (I use in PMEVC or CU50)?
Thanks!

My guess is it's the sales item category. Look at TAC or TAM as reference.
