Planned order start date in the past with explosion date of bom today

Former Member

Dear.

In trx. OMIT i have setted that Start date of order proposals allowed in the past.

I need that only for planned orders in the past the system don’t take start date
as explosion date of bom but use today.

Can you help me to try a solution for solving this problem ?

Thanks.

Hi,

If you are using lead time scheduling for MRP, you also have to tell scheduling to determine dates in the past. In OPU5, define the number of days start time is allowed in the past (underscheduling type). You can define a maximum 999 days. Please, check and revert.

Hi

I need that mrp create planned order according to sales requirement date so also with basic
date in the past.

But I need that planned order consider all the updating of bill of materials at least
until today.

In OPPQ  trx. I can explode bom using order start date or a fixed key date but I don’t see
that I can explode bom using today date.

Hi,

In OPPQ select option 2- Order finish date in BOM explosion. Your sales requirement date will be in future also sales requirement date is equal to production order finish date.

So system always explodes the updated BOM.

Thanks.

But also order finish date can be in the past.

Any solution for exploding the updated BOM using today date ?

Hi,

If order finish date in the past then system do forward scheduling from today even if you maintain backward scheduling with start in the past 999 days. So planned order will have updated BOM components. Check and revert.

Hi,

In transation OPPQ, under BOM explosion, set the explosion date value to 3 i.e only if you have a BOM explosion number already derived.
