Hi Guys,
As like ORACLE we have brtools to take the backup's,do we have any tool where we can run the backup's in Sybase, any document which talk about how to perform the backup on Sybase?
Regards
Uday
Unfortunally is not easy as Oracle. I wrote a Blog about this theme. Take a look. It is build as a cookbook and easy to follow. I guess that this article gives to you a way.

Hi Uday,
Sybase additionally provides the Sybase Control Center (SCC), an application-agnostic, centralized
monitoring and administration tool.. It also covers other Sybase products like Sybase IQ or SAP Sybase Replication Server
you should be able to find Control Center in SDC under Installations and Updates -> Sybase Products -> SYBASE ASE -> SYBASE ASE 15.7 -> Installation -> Sybase Control Center 3.2.3
Tool is very much similar to Microsoft Enterprise Manager. Easy to use and manage.

Just a few hints:
1. test different -m value in backup server RUN file.
2. use stripe, the best is to stripe to different disks.
3. dump to disk, instead of tape,
4. use local backup server, instead of remote backup server.
5. don’t use compression

Best way to complete backups in Sybase ASE is with the 'dump database 'command.
You can load databases with the 'load database' command.
Have a look at the following SAP notes :-
