copy SC 'free text' line item price does not copy

SRM extended classic scenario

recently upgraded from 7.0 SP09 to 7.01 SP08

This was working before the upgrade.   We enter a free text item and duplicate the line and the price does not carry forward.

Hello,

Try to set a breakpoint in class  /SAPSRM/CL_PDO_BO_SC, method /SAPSRM/IF_PDO_BASE~COPY_ITEM. You can verify why price is being cleared for the copied item.

Thank you so much.  I found the exact spot the price was getting cleared.  For some reason for this product category the system is referencing a contract and because of that the price is cleared.   I tried the same scenario with a different product category and it works as expected (not sure why I didn't try that before).  Anyway that points me to a data/setup issue.
