Assign Business Area to Company Code

After defining Business Area do we have to assign the Business Area to Company Code?

Hi Vicky, assignment of business area to company code is NOT required. Business Area is a smallest organizational unit with in a company code which can create Financial statements for Internal Purpose only.

I bet this must have been discussed in the forum so many times.
