Confirmation of material to customer

HI,

  The client requirement is when the order comes he wants to say to customer on which day the i can deliver the product to customer and also he wants to see what are all the missing parts available withrespect to the order

I.e.he Gives the input as sales orders number based on that sales order numbers the system should display what are all the subassemblies available withrespect to that sales and the stock available and related production orders and purchase orders.

MRP Strategy 82 should meet your requirement.

When the Sales order is entered, SAP automatically and immediately creates a production order.  The production order performs an Availability check for all components (subassemblies), schedules the production order, and proposes a confirmation date to the sales order, based upon the resultant Production order schedule information.

The production order can be configured to produce a missing parts list.

Bear in mind that lower levels of the bills of materials of the subassemblies are not checked; the assumption is that existing stock of the direct components of the FGs part and existing production orders of the direct components of the FGs part contain all of the info that you need.
