Customer field is grey out in VA41

Hi,

I am in the midst of configuring a new contract type in SD and I found out that after I have key in all these fields, Contract Type, Sales organization, Distribution channel,Division,Sales office & Sales group on the first screen of VA41, I cant key in the customer no in the second screen. The field is grey out. I need this field to input the customer no. Any kind soul out there can tell me how to solve this problem?

Hi Andy,

This is indeed strange. When you say that the customer field is greyed out, do you mean that there's some error message that come up on that screen ?

Or may be you are creating a contract with reference to another sales document ?

Hi Anand,

There is no error message. Just that the customer field is grey. No, I am not creating with reference to another sales document. Bascially what I have done is trying to duplicate the current contract type that was implemented by previous counsultant. Since now we do not have any maintenance with them, we have to do our enhancement and configuration. Din know there are so much things to configure to really get one contacrt type to work. Using SPRO, this what I have change in this :

Maintain Value Contract Type And Contract Release Type
