Cost center at Balance sheet GL accounts

Hey All,

If a GL account is balance sheet type, we don't create Cost elements for it.

When we try to post through MIRO or FB60 or FB50, system allows us to put the cost center with warning message.

We are aware that it has no impact on controlling as there are no cost elements, but we still don't want cost centers to be allowed for input.

Now we don't want to convert that warning message to error message as we are apprehensive that it may create unforseen problems.

Please suggest a suitable solution.

    Go to field status of your Balance sheet G/L Accounts. There under Additional Account Assignment field make the field Cost Center Suppressed

    I don't think you will have problems due message status changes. This message is defined exactly for this situation.
