Newly create APS in failed state in CMC - BO 4.0 SP04

Hi,

We are on BO BO 4.0 SP04 Patch1 (UNIX server; RAM 48 GB, IBM Power7 8 core processor). We are using WebI Reports on BEx queries. We tried to split the the services of Adaptive Processing Server and allocated some extra memory in the Xmx parameter of command line parameter as shown below. Then we stopped and disabled the original Adaptive Processing Server.

The problem is as soon as we disable the original APS, the health of the newly created APS becomes unknown and Overall Health becomes FAILED (in Monitoring section of CMC). We tried creating these services both by Cloning as well as Creating from scratch but no luck with either process. Please help!

Hi,

This is probably caused by the APS names used in monitoring, you will have to modify all the allerts under watchlist to use the correct APS name. In the CMC go to monitoring, watchlist, right click on one of the new APS alerts and select edit. Under caution and danger rule, you will have to edit the name or recreate.

ex. for AdaptiveProccessingDSLBridge alert

servername.AdaptiveJobServer$'Current Number of Auditing Events in the Queue'>500 should be

servername.AdaptiveProccessingDSLBridge$'Current Number of Auditing Events in the Queue'>500
