SAP SRM Offline Approval Problem - work item not processed

Former Member

Hi Experts,

We are using offline approval for SCs.

All set ups are done as below -

  • Program RSWUWFMLEC is set up as background job with a system user - SRMADMIN
  • Configuration in transaction SCOT is done
  • Exit rules is defined in transaction SO50 with Exit name  - CL_APPOINTMENT_REPLY  with communication type 'Internet Mail' and 'Recepient Address' as '*'
  • The report 'RBBP_OFFLINE_EVAL is set up as a background job with a dialog user - WF-BATCH
  • WF-BATCH has admin role and initial password
  • Automatic forwarding of mails is set up i SBWP for user SRMADMIN to WF_BATCH in transaction SO16

Inbound mails can be seen in transaction SOIN but work items are not getting processed.

Earlier it was working fine and suddenly it stopped. When I changed the WF-BATCH to some other dialog user with exactly same roles it worked fine for few days and then again stopped.

If we check the spool of the batch job RBBP_OFFLINE_EVAL it says 'No Work item exist' but there are mails in SOIN.

We are using SRM 4.0.

Please let me know if i have missed something?

Thanks

Dhananjay

Hi,

Please review the wiki: http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/x/LgAoCw

Why you forward the emails from SRMADMIN to WF-Batch user? You could run the report using directly the

SRMADMIN user. Or make sure that the emails are going to WF-Batch inbox.

Cheers,

Melina

PS.: If this helps you, please assign the concerning SDN points

Thanks Melina!

Actually, we have set up SRMADMIN as a system user and WF-BATCH as a dialog user. Since mails are received in SRMADMIN's inbox we forward it to WF-BATCH so that when the RBBP_OFFLINE_EVAL(with user WF-BATCH) runs, it can process the work items.

Now suddenly WF-BATCH has stopped processing. As a workaround I have set the job with some other dialog user and it is working fine now.

Nothing has been changed at WF-BATCH. I was wondering why did it stop suddenly. Any idea???

Thanks

Hi Dhananjay,

Please check if the user WF-BATCH is locked in the system. If so,please unlock it and then run the report again ro process the inbound emails.
