Hi,
Our requirement is how to capture the down time of the superior equipment,if notification is raised for the equipments assigned to superior.
We have one equipment which is combination of Motor and Pump.I have assigned these two to superior equipment, for example generator.
If I run notification on any of the sub equipment it effects the function of the superior too,so i want to adhere the same down time to superior, when ever i run notification on sub equipment and if I run notification on superior it should be captured at superior only not at sub equipment.
Even I have observed that in this case of superior and sub concept even cost capturing is not happening at superior level only restricted to individual level.
If I maintain superior as functional location I could see cost capturing at Functional location ,but breakdown time not been captured at Functional location,if i maintain down for individual equipments under same functional location.
Regards,
Sudhakar
Cost will get accumulated to last equipment level (in this case, pump or motor). This will get accumulate to Functional Location level next but not at Superior equipment level. This is standard SAP.
So you have to use custom report to make the same hierarchy of cost with physical hierarchy.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And whenever you create Breakdown notification for sub equipment, as mentioned earlier, you can use equipment affected option to mention the superior equipment. As its not actual downtime of superior equipment, SAP (standard) will not capture that in analysis reports.
Here you have to go for some development again by creating one notification for the equipment affected whenever notification is created for sub equipment. Also the all the details should be updated whenever the details get updated for sub equipment.

Hi Mahesh ,
I think Same thing is provided with MCI3 .For example say you are having two FL :
1. AA - NN
2. AA - NN - 1
Now 1 notification/order is generated against AA-NN-1 with cost Rs . 2000 . Other notification/order generated against AA-NN with Cost Rs 1000 .
As he wants to capture the accumulative cost at AA-NN (which should be 2000 + 1000 = 3000 ) then he can use MCI3 with searching crieteria :
FL = AA-NN* .
then system will show the cost FL wise but the total cost will also appear in first line .
For the equipment breakdown time (where he is taking superior as FL) , Iw29 can be used again .

Hi Sudhakar ,
Accumulative cost at superior equipment in standard can be done with a workaround . For that your equipment number range should be external and with external number range you should create some hierarchy between sub equip. and superior equipment . In this case
For Cost you can use MCI3 and for breakdown hours you can use IW29 .
Otherwise as Mahesh said , go for a development .

In notification, activate screen system availability. In system availability you will be able to enter equipment affected. There you can capture breakdown for superior eq/fl.

Hi Sudhakar ,
While using reports like MCI3 , use post fix * with superior FL . For example say you are having two FL :
1. AA - NN
2. AA - NN - 1
Here AA- NN is superior . if in MCI3 , in searching screen you use AA- NN* then you will get the total cost at AA-NN and also at the individual FL .
Same method u can use for equipments .
