Query hyperlink for Final Signed Document

Hello Experts,

We have a requirement in the CLM system to have a query with an option to download/view the Final Signed Document uploaded to a Contract Document

Query has been developed with a field for Final Signed Document that would enable the hyperlink as follows

javascript:postUrl('http:// : /esourcing/download/ CDA_Direct_Signed.pdf?id= CDA_Direct_Signed.pdf~true~-2146843925:360~-2147470250:2003~1009~2003~null')

We have an issue with this

a) Query executes fine and if the person who is collaborator on the Master Agreement clicks on the hyperlink. Document opens in the native application on the client machine

b) If a person who is not a collaborator clicks on the hyperlink, system throws and error and displays a BLANK page (Page not found)

Questions -

a) Has anyone handled any similar requirement?

b) Is there any option to workaround this problem?

c) Any other method or system function that delivers similar functionality without putting restriction on the access via collaborators

    Hi Balaji,

It’s the validation that the system performs and cannot be turned off. The idea here is, if you are not a collaborator or the owner, then you can’t view the contract document. Allowing anyone with report access to view the contract document would be a security issue.

    Hope this helps.
