Deleting an asset

Hello,

We are trying to delete an asset.  We ran ARAVN to
scrap the asset.  We looked at the asset using AS02 and the Deactivation
on date was entered.  We then ran AS06 to delete the asset and got the
following message that the asset had a posting? 

It stated that it had posting which was the retirement and it did not let us delete it.

We also tried AS92 and where not able to delete the asset which we had just uploaded using AS91 since it did not have a deactivation
date.

Any suggeestions.

Hi Dan Mar,

In Sap we cannt delete an asset if transactional data already entered.

For your requirement We can block an asset for further  postings

Hi,

   It is not possible to delete an Asset when transactions exists for that particular Asset. You can block the Asset from Posting in AS05
