Goping WBS elements for Material requirement

Deare All,

I did following:

1 - Created a Project with one top level WBS (WBST) and 2 level2 WBS elements (WBS1 and WBS 2)

2 - In basic data tab--> i selected "Grouping WBS element" as 2 for all the 3 WBS elements

3 - Assigned one MAterial 1 to activities created under both these WBS elements

4 - Material master for this material has been updated with MRP Group "PT02"

5 - Requirement grouping for this plant and MRP Group PT2 has been activated (T Code - OM0C)

6 - When i check MD04 i see 2 line items for this requirements i.e. one line for WBS 1 and one line for WBS 2... where as i expect only one line item for Top level WBS (i.e WBST)

If in case requirement for both the WBS elements is not getting grouped then what is the use of  "Grouping WBS element" as 2..??

It clearly shows that you didnt read SAP Help on Requirements grouping.
