PSA Loading fails

Hi gurus,

I get an error in sm58 in our ERP system. The error message is ERROR REQU_D38IW3WD0XGK1DA48DM96N12J PG# 8 in BW in functions module RSAR_TRFC_DATA_RECEIVED. The loading in the PSA fails...

Our related extractor is 0UC_ISU_29.

We already reactivate the transfer rules via the program RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL.

All of our extractions fail for the moment.

Can you help ?

Hi,

The problem of error in FM RSAR_TRFC_DATA_RECEIVED here is the new

Standard TRFC Scheduler (Tx SMQS), which is set as default from RFC

(in Netweaver 2004s) for BI 7.x.

I would recommend to switch off the new

Standard TRFC to the 'old BW 3.X'-Loading method without using SMQS.

Then your BI will execute the data

packages immediately - then these problems will not appear anymore.

Please have a look at the SAP note 916706 to get more information.

After switching off Standard TRFC (Note 916706) the BI data transfer

method will be executed and regulated by BI Service API between source

and target system (not by new Standard TRFC).

Hello Aidan,

We will try this option.

Do you know if there will have impacts on the existing running extractions & loads ?

Do this setting changes have a impact on 7.x extractions ?

Another issue : our business content is out of date (BI_CONT 704).

We want to upgarde to BI_CONT 706 or 707.

Our BW system is Newtvear 7.0 EhP1.

Our connected ERP system is ECC6.0 SAP_APPL SAPKH60005 NW 7.0 SAP_ABA BASIS SP8.

Do we need to apply SP's on our ERP system to support BI_CONT 706 or 707 ?

Hi,

I don't know of any effects these changes will have on existing/7.x extractions.

The following note explains this more detailed:

For the upgrade of component of ADDON BI_CONT 704 to 707
Please check note:
1678780 Installation or upgrade of BI_CONT/BI_CONT_XT  7x7

If you are upgrading the BI_CONT from 704 to 706 use the package

SAPK-706BHINBICONT to perform the upgrade.

For upgrade dependency checks I would recommend you to check for any
known dependencies using the tool at the following link for all your
SAP products:

It is recommendable to

have an up-to-date SP level on all systems.
