SRM ship to address field control / error handling

Dear experts,

I am searchingout for the available option to to make few fields of SRM ship to addresses as an optional entries.

Eg. Telephone number, Email id are the some of the mandatory entry fields in created address screen (comes under company address data tab).

In our case we don't need these fields as mandatory entries.

Tried to check the metada control via SPRO field control, but didn't find any specific application area / object for these fields to make as an optional entry.

Also explored the options to customize the error message to warning message, I am not usre what to input the object type in BBPC_PDMSG,

Example:

Message class: /SAPSRM/PDO_BP_UTILS

Message no: 019

Message short text: Specify an e-mail address for address no. &

Kindly suggest, what is the best way to make the above fields (telephone number & Email id) as an optional entry.

Exactly when your getting this error.

Your working on SRM 7.0 right?

Please specify the component name in which this fields exist.

Thanks for your reply, I am trying to add address data from NW portal under SRM administration for a purchasing compnay. I am unable to save without entering telephone number & Email address. I want to make those filed as optional entry.

please check below class and method

/SAPSRM/CL_CH_WD_MODM_COMP_DATCP in method GET_AO_PURORG_COMP_DATA in line 219 there are setting the state . try to enchance it and check.
