Multiple errors in DSO activation

Former Member

Hi

During the PSA activation, I am getting the following errors that are causing a Red Request on a previous date.

1. Data Package 000179

Value '00:0.0' of characteristic 0DATE is not a number with 000008 spaces

Error when assigning SID: Action VAL_SID_CONVERT InfoObject ZRELEASE

2. Data Package 000192

Value '00:0.0' of characteristic 0DATE is not a number with 000008 spaces

Error when assigning SID: Action VAL_SID_CONVERT InfoObject ZDELETE

Since the number of records are huge, the system is taking a lot of time to find an erroneous record in PSA log. If I check the records in PSA table, even for the date the transactional data came in, it is taking huge time. There are multiple records with Deletion date (ZDELETE) as 00.00.0000 which I presume could be the issue.

Please help me regarding this. The process chain is failing everyday due to this. How to find the exact record number in the data package if this is possible.

Also, when I check the PSA log, I only get the package information till Data package 000055. Which is strange as the data packages in the "Log of all requests in Datastore go upto Data Package 000214.

Hi Anubhav,

1) I think infoobject ZDELETE is a referencing 0DATE so it will not allow any value which is not date.

00.00.0000 is not a date hence you will get activation error for sure.

What is the datasource you are using is it a flat file ? The date needs to be in correct format only and it cannot be 00.00.0000 .

Please do changes in source to get the date in correct value then only Activation error will remove.

2) Datapackage:

The datapackages coming in details tab of DTP are due to optimum package size defined in extraction tab.The datapackages in PSA are due to source system setting i think its in SBIW.so if they do not match its OK.

You are correct. However the delta update adds 2001870 records. Finding erroneous record numbers is difficult. Editing them is more difficult.

Data source is Sales & Distribution SQL database file.

Hi,

Is your source an SAP system or non SAP system?

If it is non-sap system then please check if in the source there are any blank or 0000 entries against the date field.

Let me know your findings then we can think of right solution.

Source is an SAP System for SD. Even a search in SE16 for the PSA table to find records is taking too much time. Editing it will take more.

I have asked the SD team to edit these records or atleast find them in their system.

Hi Anubhav,

As source system is SD the date should be maintained correctly in ECC and it cannot be '0's.

So ask SD team to correct all the records , delete the request making status RED so that next delta

will bring all records. As per my experience such issues needs to be fix at source only. Handling it in BW is a nightmare.

@Deepak & Anup

Would it be advisable to delete the Red PSA request & wait for this chain to run again tomorrow?

Hi,

You can do that. But be careful. There are chances that other two request might not get activated.

You might have to delete the previous two request as welll and load the data from PSA .

Thanks & Regards,

Anup
