Not able to activate DSO

Hi Everyone,

I am not able to activate a DSO that I have created in APO BW. I get the error: "The creation of the export DataSource failed. The system could not create DataSource. The metadata for a DataSource must be created while the export InfoSouce is being generated".

Context:
- I have created a Source System, Data Source, Infopackage and could activate all of them. I could successfully upload data onto PSA in Infopackage from a flat file. Next, I created a DSO from the infoobjects. However, I get the above mentioned error, the moment I try to activate the DSO.
- I have checked all characteristics, Key figures and Attributes and found them active. Also, I have done the 'restore' operation for the Source system and re-activated the transfer chain, yet DSO could not be activated.
- I have done the consistency check for the created DSO and found it OK.

Appreciate, if anyone can guide me if I am missing any particular settings, that is not allowing activation of DSO.

Is there any Basis settings or something that is being missed. Request your assistance/ clue.

Hi,

Please check the BW self source system connection.

Under Source System, Right click on BW logical system - Check 

The error may be due to the RFC connction failure to the Datamart system. you may want to work with Basis team to make sure the connection settings are ok in SM59.
