SAP T-Code SE16N

I am trying to find out if there is a way to define relationships between tables so that I may use the "Text table" filed on the selections screen. When I put MARA in the table field MAKT automatically populates the Text table field. I would like to be able to define relationships say between LMF! and T024 using purchasing group to linkthem together. When I put in LMF1 the Text table field does not populate an d is not usable. Is there a way to define table relationships so that you may pick the one you want on the selection screen. (i.e. LMF1 to table xxxx via lifnr or LMF1 to T024 via ekgrp)

Thank you,

Trent Alexander

I may be mis-understanding your question but I don't believe SE16N is defining relationships in the Text table field. It is simply saying that on the output of your search you will see descriptions added and those descriptions are coming from the MAKT table.

If a table isn't set up for text being added to the output it will not show a table in that field.

    I hope this helps.

If I am not understanding your question please let me know.

      Hi Trent,

In the case of SE16N SAP is using the DD08L table to define the relationships, but I doubt you can configure this for other tables. As far as I know the only way to do what you are asking would be to create your own Z table.

      Best regards,

      Steve
