KD 557 Settlement document is too large (99999 lines)

Hi

We are trying to do a full settlement of an internal order (that is an investment measure with AUC line item settlement) and are running into this error in the subject line. See attachment.

Has anyone worked on this error before and if so can you provide information on how to resolve it? Want more specific steps for resolution.

Best wishes

Raj.

    Hi Raj,

The error KD557 is given, if the internal settlement document contains

too much entries. The number of internal document lines must not be

    * than 99 999. There is no way to overcome the technical

restriction of 99 999 documents. Please refer to the attached note

111187 about the possibilities of the error and the solutions.

    Regards,

    Cristiano

    hi

Thanks for your responses. I have already read all these links and SAP notes before posting it here. This was also posted to SAP. Even they have referred me to the same links and notes.

But that does not solve our issue. We broke the internal order into five different orders and tried to settle and we also tried KOB5. It gives the same error on each of those orders.

Therefore, please do not send links and SAP notes.

If you have practically resolved the issue, then please send step by step approach to how to resolve it.

    Best wishes

    Raj.

    • Hi,

      read this...hope helps you:

The error KD557 is given, if the internal settlement document contains

too many entries. The number of internal document lines must not be

      * than 99.999 (-> field AUAS-LFDNR = NUMC5/5-digit-field).

The number of entries depends on the following items

(a combination can increase the number of entries extremely):

      - number of line items to be settled

      - number of AUC's of a investment measure (if a source structure is

      used in the order)

      - number of receivers in the settlement rules

      - partly capitalization (less than 100 %)

      ...

In order to post the settlement as soon as possible, I recommmend to

select only a part of the line-items for the final settlement, as you

      saw at the forum.

Please review the solution no. 3 of note 111187:

      "...

      3. The sender is a capital investment measure with line-item settlement

and a large number of posted line items which are activated

simultaneously for several receivers, for example, completed assets.

      ...

      3. If the error occurs for the settlement of an investment measure with

line item settlement and many receivers are entered in the default

settlement rule, then be aware that the default settlement rule is

applied to every CO line item to be settled (that means the number

line items in the internal settlement document = the number CO line

items to be settled x the number of distribution rules). In this

case, use the line item distribution with transaction KOB5 or

instead of the default settlement rule:

      - assign a settlement rule for one receiver or a few receivers

for every CO line item to be settled

      - or carry out several settlements by settling only some of the

CO line items for every settlement: assign a settlement rule

to some CO line items, carry out the settlement and repeat

      these two steps.

      ..."

      Regards,

      Cristiano
