Need help with writing a Look up in Start Routine

Hi friends,

Need your help with writing a look up to get the corresponding Customer Number from DSO. Here is the requirement

DSO1 gets data from Flat file from Legacy System. Contains Legacy Customer Number, Profit Center and (0Customer is initial and needs to be filled from the Start routine)

DSO2 has data for Legacy Customer Number, Profit Center and 0Customer

When data is loading from flat file into the DSO1, the start routine should run a look up onto DSO2 to fetch the 0CUSTOMER data into DSO1. Hope this explains clearly! Thanks.

    Hi,

As i understand you need to get the customer from dso2.I would suggest to write end routine in transformation of dso1 doing a look up on dso2

Refer the below thread in which i have written the whole code. You just need to replace the infoobjects name according to your model.

In case you face any issues let us know.

    Hope that helps.

Are you on BW 7.3? If so, then use the delivered DSO lookup rule type in your transformation. If you're on 7.3 and you're using ABAP to do this, then you're probably doing it wrong 😊. Otherwise you'll need to use a routine as suggested above.
