KO88- Variance settlement error , fixed and Variable variance

Dear All,

I have following issue while doing variance settlement to COPA.

Production variances transfer to COPA - requirement is to show each type of variance as
fixed and variable separately in COPA. So created two cost element groups for
Consumption GL used in Production order.

1)Fixed

2) Variable

Then created PA transfer structure

Created two assignment

1)Fixed

2) Variable

Assigned Fixed cost element group under Fixed Assignment “1” with Fixed variance value field.

Assigned Variable cost element group under Variable Assignment “2” with Variable variance Value
field.

When I execute KO88, I am getting the following error, Initially I got the same error for
assignment line 10, so for assignment line I changed Fixed Assignment  from “1- Fixed” to “3- Fixed and Variable”,
which is wrong but error disappeared, then error displayed for assignment line 20.

No assignment made to value fld for PA transfer str. PP, assignment no. 20

Message no. KF009

Diagnosis

Assignment line 20 in PA transfer structure PP was not assigned to a value field in
Profitability Analysis.

Procedure

Complete PA transfer structure PP in operating concern FOTH.

If you want to put the fixed costs and variable costs in different value fields,
check whether this assignment has been made. Check whether the fixed costs
(fixed/varable indicator = 1) and the variable costs (fixed/variable indicator
= 2) are each assigned to a value field.

You maintain the assignment line in CO-PA Customizing under "Flows of Actual
Values -> Direct Postings from FI/MM -> Maintain PA transfer
structure".

Assign Value Fields

Thanks in advance for the help

Santosh

Hi Santosh,

It seems you faced on the same error with 2 assignments 10 and 20.

Do you try doing the same change for assingmenr 20 (change Fixed/variable indicator from '2' to '3')?

Julie

Hi Julie,

Yes , if i change it to 3 in assignment line 20 also it is working, but this is not the right way of doing this.
