HI experts,

file to idoc interface.

An error occurred while connecting to the FTP server

"An error occurred while connecting to the FTP server XXXXX. The FTP server returned the following error message: 'com.sap.aii.adapter.file.ftp.FTPEx: 550 Unexpected reply cod'/XXX/': Directory not accessible.'. For details, contact your FTP server vendor.

here are my findings.

1.server is up and running..i can able to open the ftp in windows..add/edit folders and directories...no problem with server or authorization.

2. checked wit firewall team and they said nothing is blocking.

3. tried creating different folders and provided only the folder path, like /test/ in the cc..but no luck.

but i am still getting the above error..can some one please give some idea in resolving this error.

thanks

Hi Smith,

you can able to ping the FTP server but directory is not accessible then it means required permissions are not given to the FTP directory . check with your FTP vendor whethere they given rwx permissions to the user name which you are using in the receiver CC

Cheers

Hi Smith,

Please check if you have full permissions for the folder/directory you are trying to access.

if no provide full permissions for the folder.

Hi Naveen,

I am able to create files in the folder by loggin into the server via windows...so, i guess i have the access.

we are using the same user name and password given by them in CC...so, ideally it should have.

please advise.

Hi Smith,

You would be able to access but..!! there should be "777" permissions for the folder to read/write the files into that perticular folder.

so you need to check if the folder is having "777" permissions.

Naveen.
