Java Script file not getting updated

Hi All,

I have defined a Java Script file under the dist -->scripts folder to be used in an APC. The application worked fine for the first time, but any changes made in the JS file were not reflected in the application. Finally I deleted the JS file itself, rebuild the project and deployed the application again, but still it runs with the first result. Can someone please help me on this?

(I had the same problem working with HTML files for IFrames in WebDynpro)

Thanks in advance,

Best Regards,

Nibu.

    Hi,

seems, that the server gives you the cached content of the JS.

Try to clear the HTTP cache on server (use Visual Administrator -> Server -> Services -> HTTP provider -> Clear cache).

    Hope this is your case.

    Hi Nibu,

Dont know exactly why this is happening. But try giving this a consideration.

    Goto "portal archiever remover" iview

Remove(Clean) your archieve from the portal database.

    Re-deploy the new/changed PAR file

Things may work ... just give it a shot.

    Regards,

    Gaurav

Thanks Gaurav for your suggestion, but sorry, it is not working !

I removed the application & deployed again but got the same result. I also cleared the client cache, but still no use.

If anyone has any idea abt why this is happening please do help me. (This file might be getting stored in some other location too, which we need to find out)

    Thanks in advance,

    Best Regards,

    Nibu.

    Hi Romano,

Thanks for your reply. My application was indeed using the cached JS file. I cleared the server cache and unchecked the 'use cache' option. Now the js file is geting updated properly.

    Best Regards,

    Nibu.
