Performance Monitoring in AEX

Within SAP PI Dual-Stack there is PMI as RWB Performance Monitoring available to download and store performance data in local database..

We are now facing the problem that in AEX PIMON this option is not available.

It is possible to show performance data for special time periods, but there is no option to download files.

See SAP Help for this term:

http://help.sap.com/SAPhelp_nw73/helpdata/en/48/b2dfe86b156ff4e10000000a42189b/content.htm

Can somebody confirm this statement or this there a possibility to download or access performance via an API?

Kind regards & many thanks for answers.

Hi Ronny, Suggest you add the release and support pack you are on.. a lot of new monitoring options and APIs have been added in 7.3 EHP1 especially in the most recent support packs and more are planned.   At least if you know it's coming it may help you to decide whether to build a business case for an upgrade or attempt a custom solution.

Hi Jocelyn,

thanks for your quick reply. We are actually on 7.3 EHP1 with SP4. Can you tell me with which package this functionality will be added or where i can find this information?

Kind regards,

Ronny

Hi Ronny,

I can tell you that more APIs and monitoring are planned for SP6 which is tentatively slated for very early 2013.. so keep an eye out for announcements.

Christian Loos has blogged about what's already in SP5 which was released a couple of weeks ago.

Also don't forget the roadmaps for Process Orchestration, PI and BPM at http://service.sap.com/roadmaps - very high level but at least gives you a rough guide as to whether new functionality in that space is expected short term, mid term or long term.

Hope that helps,

Regards,

Jocelyn
