"We are using CTM in a FMCG company that has constraints on min lot size which we have modeled in PPM. We are using a 3 tier network of DC>>RDC>>Factory.
However since CTM is a order based planning system, the issue faced is that lot of orders have shortage because they are below the PPM min lot size. We have tried to use aggregation in CTM as well as tried to get the demand on to fewer days (as opposed to daily demand release from DP to SNP) so as to aggregate the demand as far as possible, but still we are getting lot of shortages.
Has anyone faced this issue of min lot size in CTM before? If yes, kindly give a practical solution that can be implemented in quick time"
