Unable to Re-import Old transport Request

Hi,

We have recently upgrade support package level of EA_HR_606-009 to EA_HR_606-016 and SAP_HR_604-47 to SAP_HR_604-54 in both Development and Quality system, but in our Quality server now we are not able to re-import old transports request as it is giving an error " Does not match the component version " where as any new transport imports are working fine. Can any one please help.??

Hi,

As per youre query you can edit your abap program in DEV server then save it in same transport number after that you can import in QTY/PRD server also. Because after upgrade your packeges, some objects are missing in your old transport programe. If you edit your old program and save it the problem will be save.

In case you have any issue please mark it the error here.

That's a new 'feature' of Enhancement Package 6.

The same behaviour here.

Actually you can import the old requests, by choosing 'Ignore Invalid Component Version' under tab 'Options'.

But use at your own risk! The message should be considered a warning. You should in any case make sure that the objects you are going to transport haven't changed inbetween.

Imho for transports that are not HR related, there shouldn't be any problems. For HR transports, let your HR developer have a closer look.
