Hello,

Is there a possibility to shrink a PDF file which is then attached to an e-mail? (SBO 8.81 and later)

Kind regards,

Mirjam

    Hi Mirjam,

How big is your PDF file? Actually PDF file is already in compressed format. There is no much room to shrink even if you find any ways to do it.

    Thanks,

    Gordon

As stated PDF is a compressed format and cannot be compressed after generation.

If the PDF file is being generated from within SBO consider the elements that are used to create the PDF. Look for non compressed elements such as Full Sized Graphics files. If there are elements that can be compressed prior to the Generation of the PDF that is your best chance for size reduction.

I have a customer that had full sized color photo scans as part of catalog informatin being generated via PDF. The elements were able to be reduced in some cases and reduced overall PDF size.
